About Hong Kong Bakery & Dimsum Duluth

About Us

Back in 1986, we opened our first Hong Kong-style bakery in Atlanta โ€” a little corner of old Hong Kong brought to life across the ocean.

Handcrafted breads, delicate dim sum, recipes passed down from master bakers โ€” these are the flavors we grew up with. We honor tradition with every bite, but weโ€™re not afraid to mix in something new. Classics stay classic, but now and then, they surprise you.

Our Hong Kong milk tea? Strong, silky, unforgettable. Itโ€™s the kind of drink that slows down time and takes you straight to the streets of Kowloon.

Come by, take a bite, and taste something that feels like home โ€” even if youโ€™ve never been.

I randomly found this spot on Google so decided to stop by. I tried some of their bakery goods and dumplings. Superb! Iโ€™m so glad to have found this place since the bread is well made with balance and the dumplings were amazing! The price is also much more reasonable than other places that Iโ€™ve been to! A true gem of a restaurant!

We discovered this dimsum place a couple of months ago and we have literally come in weekly. We love the noodles (beef brisket), congee, steamed buns, and siu mai. Itโ€™s about time for an authentic dimsum place this side of town. The chili oil is amazing and we put it on everything. Their pastries are great too. I have been craving hopia and found that their red bean cookie (not a cookie) is hopia mongo, to my absolute delight. Their HK milk tea and Brown Sugar Boba are great as well but this Super Fruit drink is my favorite. Oh, and hot tea is on the house, like any good dimsum place. IYKYK. One thing that I found I really enjoyed was the walking video of the streets of Hong Kong on their projector wall. Our family has good memories of our trips there many years ago and it was nice to eat HK dimsum while remembering the stores on Nathan Rd. Look for Betty and Fanny :) They will take care of you.

***First time tip if you are using the kiosk: the order locator# you enter on the kiosk, is the table number you will be sitting at.*** This is a no frills dim sum bakery and cafe. The food was really good. The flavors were as good as most places in San Francisco or Los Angeles. I had bbq pork buns, beef rice noodle rolls, and a yin/yang tea/coffee. I also ordered extra bakery items (seasame balls, ham sui gok, various breads) as gift for a friend I was visiting after. Really good flavors, and the sweets were well balanced and not too sweet. You can self-order at the kiosk at the entrance, or you can go to the counter if you need assistance ordering. You can also self-serve bakery items from the showcase with a tray that you bring to the counter to finish purchase. Once your dim sum order is in, they will bring your dim sum to your table, if you are dining in. They have an area towards the back with utensils, sauces and toppings prepared, so that you can prep your order how you like. I appreciated the ability to order my own food, sit myself at a table, prep my own toppings, and choose my own utensils. I really enjoyed this place and will come back again and again. Dim sum s

I was excited to come here. They have a great variety of baked goods. Everything looked so delicious and fresh. I only came for Dim Sum so I didnโ€™t get to try their baked goods but I will definitely next time. Came on Christmas Day. The place is spacious. Everything is self served. You can order your Dim Sum and drinks through the kiosk and your number will be called with your drinks, Dim Sum will be brought out by someone. Pretty convenient if you want to stop by for a quick bite or to bring food home. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Hong Kong Bakery and Dim Sum in Duluth is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, the smell of freshly baked pastries hits youโ€”in the best way possible. The front display is packed with all kinds of treats: golden egg tarts, fluffy buns, buttery croissants, and other baked goodies that make it hard to choose just one. You can either order at the counter or use their self-order kiosks, which makes the process super convenient. We ordered the century egg congee, shrimp noodles, a mix of dumplings, fried chive pancake, pork spare ribs, and beef spare ribsโ€”and honestly, everything was spot on. The food came out fresh, steaming hot, and packed with flavor. You can tell itโ€™s made with care. For around $55, three adults left completely full and happy. Thatโ€™s a great deal considering the quality and portion sizes. Whether youโ€™re craving classic dim sum or just want to grab some pastries to go, this place is worth the trip. Definitely adding this to my list of go-to spotsโ€”come check it out!
